Amish Style Diamond Pattern Hand Quilted Quilt - 62 x 76 A vintage hand-pieced and hand-quilted patchwork quilt in the Amish style, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The central field features rows of diamonds set on point, arranged in vertical color-coordinated columns of teal, navy blue, sky blue, dusty pink, charcoal, and olive green. This central field is enclosed by a mauve-toned inner border and a wide, dark charcoal outer border. The quilt is finished with a solid blue cotton backing and a narrow purple binding. The hand-quilting is intricate, featuring an eight-point star motif centered within the larger charcoal diamonds and simple diagonal cross-hatch quilting in the colored patches. The borders are decorated with concentric arc or fan quilting. On one section of the inner border, there is a handwritten inscription in red ink that reads 19-65, which likely serves as a collection or inventory number. The loss of top fabric in several areas reveals a blue-and-white striped underlayer, suggesting a secondary top or a heavy lining was used during construction.
