Handmade Mid-C. Scrap Patchwork Quilt Top - 72 x 74 This vintage handmade scrap patchwork quilt top features a repeating eight-pointed star pattern, specifically a LeMoyne Star variant, pieced from various diamond-shaped fabric scraps. The quilt top is constructed from an eclectic mix of mid-20th-century textiles including ginghams, calico florals, stripes, checks, paisley, and solid-colored cotton and blend fabrics. These stars are set within a framework of wide sashing strips, consisting of a small-scale blue and white floral print and a solid dusty pink cotton. The entire piece is hand-sewn using large utility-style stitching. The reverse side displays raw seam allowances, and the overall perimeter of the piece has raw, unfinished edges.
