Late 20th C. Patchwork Utility Quilt Top - 80 x 82 A handmade patchwork quilt top or small utility quilt constructed from assorted cotton and cotton-blend fabric scraps. The textile features a variety of patterns typical of the late 20th century, including floral prints, light blue gingham, a pastel pink and green plaid, and abstract 1980s-style brushstroke designs in pink, teal, and orange. The patterned squares are separated by strips of plain white sashing. The piece is constructed with machine-stitched seams and features prominent, decorative hand-stitching in a contrasting dark thread. It utilizes raw, exposed, and frayed edges at the seams, characteristic of a primitive or rag-quilt style
