Auerhamer Signed WWII Navy Letters & News 1944-45 - A collection of World War II-era military correspondence and ephemera documenting the communication between Paul R. Auerhamer and Miss Arlene M. Wolf. Auerhamer is identified in return addresses as ARTY 2nd USN with CASU #2 (Combat Aircraft Service Unit) Radio - B, stationed in the Hawaiian Islands. Arlene M. Wolf is addressed at Spar Barracks, 1501 Beacon St., Brookline, Massachusetts, identifying her as a member of the Women Coast Guard Reserve (SPARS). The collection features several multi-page autograph letters signed (ALS) by Auerhamer, including a four-page letter dated November 30, 1944, and a multi-page letter dated January 10, 1945. Accompanying the letters is a grouping of airmail envelopes with red and blue borders, many featuring U.S. NAVY postmarks and PASSED BY NAVAL CENSOR handstamps.
