Bidspirit auction | Two Roseville Art Pottery Foxglove
Two Roseville Art Pottery Foxglove Pattern Pieces - This lot features two pieces of American art pottery from the Roseville Pottery Company in the Foxglove pattern, first introduced in 1942. The collection includes one tall, double-handled vase and one small, double-handled bowl, likely a sugar bowl. Both items are constructed of relief-molded earthenware featuring floral sprays against a textured, shaded matte glaze in tones of terracotta and brownish-red. The base of the bowl bears a molded mark reading Roseville U.S.A. 659-3”. The base of the vase displays handwritten characters 21 and a mark resembling a cross or the character x, along with a blurred, illegible red stamp. Based on form and pattern, the vase is attributed to the same manufacturer and line.
