Set 6 Advertising Ashtrays: Seagrams VO & Ohio - This collection consists of six advertising ashtrays manufactured from various materials including glazed ceramic, earthenware, and pressed glass. The lot includes a matching pair of square off-white glazed earthenware ashtrays for the Ohio Farmers Insurance Company, featuring brown transfer-printed illustrations of the company home offices in the center wells with gold-tone inner rims. One ashtray in this pair retains its original cork backing with printed text commemorating the dedication of the New Home Office Building in Le Roy, Ohio, on September 15, 1955. A large round cream-colored ceramic ashtray for the Jenn-Air Corporation of Indianapolis, Indiana, features a multi-colored architectural rendering and a silver-tone rim. A deep cobalt blue glazed ceramic ashtray is decorated with gold-tone transfer-printed lettering reading SEAGRAMS V.O. CANADIAN around the exterior. A cylindrical black glazed ceramic ashtray with a slanted, recessed top features gold-tone lettering for RED HACKLE SCOTCH WHISKY and a gold-tone rim.
