Mid-20th Century Japanese Hand-Painted Ceramic Citrus Reamer Pitcher - A two-piece ceramic citrus reamer and pitcher set produced in Japan. The set is made of earthenware and features a cylindrical pitcher with a pouring spout and a D-shaped handle. The removable lid is designed with an integrated conical citrus reamer and a series of circular strainer holes that allow juice to drain directly into the pitcher. The exterior is decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral motifs, including lilies in shades of blue and yellow-orange, green foliage, and a maroon bud, all set against a pale celadon green ground. The top rim, handle edges, and base are finished with a contrasting orange-brown band. The entire piece is finished with a crackle glaze. The underside of the base bears a black backstamp featuring a stylized five-petaled flower containing the letter K, with curved banners reading HAND PAINTED and JAPAN.
