Set 4 Ohio Tool Co & Philadelphia Molding Planes - A set of four antique wooden molding planes manufactured by the Ohio Tool Company and a Philadelphia-based maker, dating to the mid-to-late 19th century. This collection includes two hollow planes designed for creating convex moldings and two planes featuring complex decorative profiles, such as ogees or bead and cove patterns. The plane bodies are constructed of beech wood and include their original steel irons and matching wooden wedges. Three planes are stamped OHIO TOOL CO on the toe. The fourth plane is marked on the toe with a regional stamp reading WARRANTED in an arc over PHILAD. One complex plane features a boxed sole for reinforced wear. A pink inventory sticker with the number 139 is attached to one plane body. Length: 9 to 10 inches (approximately).
