Pair Hubley Cast Iron Scottish Terrier Bookends - A pair of vintage cast iron bookends produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Company, modeled as standing Scottish Terriers. Each bookend features a Scottie dog in profile on a stepped rectangular base. The pieces show a textured cast surface intended to simulate canine fur. One piece retains remnants of a worn metallic gold or bronze finish on its face, while the other displays a more heavily oxidized, dark surface. The back of the base is embossed with the letters COPR followed by a circular mark containing a triangle, a known hallmark of Hubley. The reverse sides of the figures are unfinished and flat.
