Glazed Earthenware Bamboo & Botanical Jardiniere - A large, globular glazed earthenware jardiniere featuring a high-relief molded botanical design. The exterior body is divided into panels by vertical stalks of bamboo that also form the rim and base details. Within these panels are raised floral blossoms, foliage, and fruit clusters, possibly representing pomegranates or peaches. The piece is finished in a uniform cream-colored high-gloss glaze. The underside features an unglazed foot rim showing a buff-colored clay body. The base is incised with the numbers 1126/27 and a separate incised number 3. No maker's name or trademark is present.
