B. Vockins Seabrook Tinned Metal & Brass Milk Can - This is an antique dairy delivery can, commonly used for milk or cream. The vessel is constructed of tinned metal with hand-soldered joints and an oval body. It features a hinged lid and a thick brass swing handle attached to the sides. The top of the lid is embossed with the text B. VOCKINS and SEABROOK in two arcs. A triangular brass plate is soldered to the hinge area, bearing the text THE MILK-CAN and TRADE MARK surrounding a stylized central logo. The construction techniques and materials are consistent with the late Victorian to early Edwardian periods. The interior of the can is accessible via the hinged top and shows a seam running vertically down the back.
