Pair French Neoclassic Brass Dolphin Candlesticks - This lot consists of a pair of French Neoclassical style candlesticks manufactured from cast brass. Each candlestick features a nozzle with a gadrooned rim sitting atop a circular drip pan. The central stem is modeled as a stylized dolphin with a curved, scaly body and an open mouth. The dolphin rests on a square, tiered base decorated with relief-cast foliate motifs and concentric circular patterns. The pieces are constructed using a casting process, visible in the textured details of the dolphin and the ornamental base. No maker marks, hallmarks, or signatures were found during inspection. A green inventory sticker with the handwritten number 26 is attached to the base of one candlestick.
