HO Scale Brass Trains - This HO scale brass model of a 2-8-2 Mikado steam locomotive and Vanderbilt tender is attributed to Pacific Fast Mail (PFM) and was manufactured by SKI, modeled after the Great Northern Railway O-1 class. The locomotive and tender are constructed from brass and remain in an unpainted, factory-bare finish. The engine features a 2-8-2 wheel configuration with intricate valve gear and driving rods. External details include handrails, piping, a sand dome, steam dome, bell, and whistle. The tender is a cylindrical Vanderbilt type mounted on two four-wheel trucks. The entire model is mounted on a section of ballasted HO-scale track and is presented within a clear acrylic display case with a finished wood base. No maker's marks were observed on the exterior surfaces during inspection.
