Dressel Pennsylvania Railroad PRR Metal Lantern with Keystone Glass Globe - Arailway lantern manufactured by the Dressel Railway Lamp Works of Arlington, New Jersey. The top cap of the lantern is stamped with the manufacturer name DRESSEL and the location ARLINGTON N.J. This lantern was produced for the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), as indicated by the embossed keystone logo containing the letters PRR found on both the metal frame and the clear glass globe. The object is constructed of metal with a protective wire cage and a high bail handle. The clear glass globe is positioned above the burner assembly. The overall design and markings are consistent with railroad signaling equipment used during the mid-20th century.
