Antique American Painted Cast Iron Rose Bouquet Doorstop, Attributed to Hubley - Thisdoorstop, attributed to the Hubley Manufacturing Company, is crafted from cast iron with a cold-painted finish. The piece features a molded bouquet of roses and buds in various stages of bloom emerging from a stylized cream-colored vase. The flowers are finished in shades of red and pink with deep green foliage. The item is constructed using a hollow-back casting technique and is mounted on an integral, heavy rectangular cast iron base. This style of floral doorstop is characteristic of American production from the early-to-mid 20th century. No manufacturer marks or pattern numbers are visible on the casting. A paper auction tag is attached to the base.
