Robert Burrows Pastoral Landscape Oil on Canvas - A Robert Burrows (English, 1810-1883) oil on canvas painting depicting a pastoral landscape featuring what appears to be a courting scene in the middle ground while a herd of sheep grazes in a pasture nearby and in the background a port town. Signed lower left, and including a brass name plate bearing the artist's name. Presented in a gilt wood ogee frame having an inner border of carved guilloche motifs, and outer border of acanthus and other floral motifs. Sight: 10” x 13.5” Condition: Good condition having one minor paint loss in the center of frame, and minor separations occurring throughout the frame commensurate with age.
