Edmund A.Willis Pastoral Forest Scene Oil on Canvas - An Edmund Aylburton Willis (British, 1808 - 1899) oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a cowboy on horseback leading a herd of cattle through a stream in a wooded area. Signed and dated '1879' lower right. Presented in its original giltwood frame having an outer border of anthemion motifs, a middle border carved in guilloche motifs, and an inner border of egg & dart motifs. Sight” 27” x 21” Condition: Overall good condition having wear commensurate with age and craquelure forming; frame has signs of separation throughout. Dimensions: 39 x 34 x 5 in
