F. Manceaux for Klingenthal French Navy Officer's Sword - A Francois Manceaux for Klingenthal French naval officer's sword or rapier having a nickel plated blade, brass hilt stamped with a fleur-de-lis on the front counter guard, silver wire grip; featuring a rear folding guard with functional spring button and a black leather scabbard with brass fittings including a sea-serpent motif drag. Stamped 'F.M.' on underside of the counterguard. Incised on blade near the hilt 'Manufacture Royale Du Klingenthal' and 'Juin 1822' on verso. Provenance: From the private collection of Roy Hill, Savannah Georgia. Documentation from consignor is included. Condition: Overall in good condition. Wear commensurate to age with minor losses throughout. One large crack in the leather of the scabbard. Dimensions: 39.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 in
