Mid 19th C Pennsylvania Painted Dower Chest - A mid 19th century Pennsylvania Dutch or German painted wooden dower chest that appears to be pine possibly poplar having a large storage compartment with a tray divider & a lockable hinged lid, and blunt arrow feet, and marked 1854 featuring painted motifs of bouquets of flowers on all sides but the rear. Condition: Overall good condition structurally sound having losses to the paint throughout. Dimensions: 25.5 x 50 x 25.5 in
