Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac of Kamarna (1806-1874) was a revered Kabbalist and the first Rebbe of the Kamarna dynasty. His teachings harmonized the Holy Ari with the Baal Shem Tov's Torah.
The commentary, initially paused due to illness, resumed after a dream visitation by the Baal Shem Tov. Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac insisted his son publish it, promising its healing potential.
