Russian Lacquer Painted Box-Dmitry Donskoy - This wonderful little box is a work of art. This lacquer box is an original, hand-painted box by a Russian artist. This box was constructed from tempera paints and painted on a papier-mache box. Once the painting was complete, the box was lacquered and polished many times to create a fine, glossy finish.
