ABOUT THE ARTIST: Nicolaux is a prominent Colombian artist following and amphasizing drama and depth, the Renaissance techniques of tenebrism chiaroscuro artists like the Italian Caravaggio (1571 - 1610) and later the great Spanish artist Francisco Goya (1746 - 1928). He likes preparing his own pigments, mainly from coffee. A very strong compositions with great expression creating compositions that show us scenes, chaotic, sublime with a balance between light and shadow, happines and pain as well between beauty and ugliness. His paintings are becoming well appreciated by his audience, they are part of private and public collections in Colombia and private collections in Europe and the US.
