Pear-Shaped Opal Cabochon w/Red Pinfire - Pear-Shaped Opal Cabochon w/Red Pinfire Lovely polished opal is a pear-shape cabochon with a grey body tone showing red pinfire, green & blue flashes, stone is approx 13.5 x 22mm in size and weighs 10.55 carats on the Electronic Scale, would make a beautiful pendant. There is one tiny notch into the opal on one side, difficult to see and likely part of the original host rock. This may be Ethiopian opal and the back of this stone is flat and polished.
