Extremely Rare! Letter Signed by the Holy Admor Rebbi David of Zlatipoli, with blessings for a Kosher & Happy Pesach. - A letter addressed to the eminent rabbi, Rabbi Moshe Nacḥum, who had inquired about a certain young man—whether he was upright and worthy. The letter concludes ''I bless him and pray on his behalf for good, that he should celebrate the Festival of Matzot in kashrut and joy, together with all Israel. David, son of the renowned Rabbi, our teacher Rebbi Yoḥanan of blessed and saintly memory.” Rachmistrivka, 1895 or 1896. Extremely Rare! Letters from the Holy Rebbe are exceedingly scarce-virtually unknown. The Holy Rebbi David of Zlatipoli was born in 1834 as the firstborn son of his father, the holy Rebbi Yoḥanan of Rachmistrivka. Upon reaching marriageable age, he wed the rebbetzin Bat-Tzion Tzipora Feiga, daughter of the holy author of Beit Aharon of Karlin. The wedding took place in Karlin in 1852. After his marriage, he remained for several years at the table of his holy father-in-law, and later returned to reside in his father’s city, Rachmistrivka. While still a young man (before 1863), his father sent him to receive rabbinic ordination from his uncle, the holy Rebbi Aharon of Chernobyl. From then on, he began leading the community. Upon the passing of his father on the 4th of Nisan, 1895, he succeeded him as leader of the holy community in Rachmistrivka. A few years later, he established his own court in the city of Zlatipoli, from which his name became known throughout the Jewish world. His followers recounted awe-inspiring stories about him, in the manner of the Baal Shem Tov. On one occasion, his father-in-law, the Beit Aharon, honored him with an aliyah to the Torah, and as he concluded the reading with the words “ Holy of Holies is it to the Lord, ” he pointed toward his son-in-law with his holy finger. In his lifetime, the court of Zlatipoli was bustling with many Chasidim who came to be spiritually uplifted by his exalted service, renowned throughout the land. After his passing on the 11th of Tevet, 1915, leadership of the community in Zlatipoli was continued by his son, the holy Rebbi Mordechai Yosef of Zlatipoli, son-in-law of Rebbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshel of Skver, a descendant of Rebbi Yitzḥak of Skver. His daughter, the rebbetzin Bracha Sheindel, was the wife of the holy Rebbi Yisrael “the Yenuka” of Stolin.
