Kabbalah Sefer Yesod: Mishnat Chassidim, First Edition, Amsterdam 1727- Rabbi Raphael Emanuel Chai Riki. - Sefer Mishnat Chassidim, a summary of the wisdom of kabbala according to the Ari, By Rabbi Emanuel Chai Riki. Amsterdam, 1727. First edition in the authors lifetime. Rare! Has appeared only a handful of times at public auction. The author, Rabbi Raphael Emanuel Chai Ricchi Hy''d (1688-1743, Otzar HaRabbanim 16746), was a great rabbi and mekubal in Italy [and Sefad]. All his life he underwent suffering and wandering until he was killed al kiddush Hashem. He was murdered by pirates on a voyage back to Europe to visit his home country. He wrote many seforim on revealed and hidden Torah topics. This sefer is one of the basic seforim on kabbalah. The Vilna Gaon and several of his disciples wrote commentaries on this sefer. Also Chassidic leaders focused on this sefer in kabbalistic study and kavanot in tefilla, (the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and others). The holy Sefer Mishnat Chassidim was sacred in the eyes of leading Chassidic Admorim and is mentioned many times in Chassidic works. Rebbi Yisrael of Ruzhin's grandfather – the Maggid of Mezeritch – mentions it [”כתוב במשנת חסידים בפקודת נוקבא”], as well as Rebbi Shnuer Zalman of Liadi, and others. Stefansky Sifrai Yesod #368.
