Sefer Chasam Sofer part 2, on Tractate Pesachim, Hilchot Pesach & Perek Eizeh Neshech. First edition, Jerusalem 1894. 


Stamp on the first title page of the Gaon Rabbi David Yehuda Leib Saltzer Rabbi of Humene. Rear inner binding with inscription by R. Samuel Adler son of Rabbi Yoav Adler Rabbi of Hanshovitz attesting ownership by his uncle R. Moshe Eliyahu Saltzer son of Rabbi David Leib Rabbi of Humne.


Rabbi David Yehuda Leib Saltzer was born in 1848 , brother-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and son-in-law of Rabbi David Katz of Mattersdorf.


He was a close disciple of the Gaon the 'Csav Sofer' & also studied under the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Shag in Kobersdorf, & the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Assad in Serdahely. He served as  Rabbi of Tevel, Batorkeszi and Humene where he died in 1919.

His sons-in-law were Rabbi Asher Anshel Yungreiz of Csenger & Rabbi Yoav Adler of Hanshovitz.

Overall in Good Condition, wear & folds to first 2 pages, 2nd page detached, tears & shaved letters to the last page of Shu''t Hari''m, original binding damaged.
