Long & important marginalia by the Gaon Rabbi Wolf Dreifuss. Some are signed Wolf D''f (Dreifuss). The Gaon Rabbi Wolf Trivis-Dreifuss was born to his father R. Leib in 1782. He was a disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Abraham Naphtali Sheur rabbi of Mainz & of the famed Hamburg & Furth Yeshivot. He was active in the fight against the reformers. From 1823-1831 he served as rabbi of Lengnau, Switzerland. From 1831-1834 he served as rabbi of nearby Endingen, in 1834 he returned to Lengnau until his passing in 1860. .
