A Brass Hanukkah Lamp, Italy, 18th Century
Brass Hannukah lamp has the early style oil cups fashioned for oil and protruding wicks in a pentagonal design. Two roman columns attached to the backplate support the crescent shaped arch at top . Hanging ring at tip is part of the backplate for durable hanging of the lamp.
11.5 inches high, 7.75 inches wide.
Fair condition, columns and arch partially detached from backplate, one column is separated from its base, columns slightly detached from arch, top of backplate is bent
A similar item sold at Sotheby's for $7,500.
