Sefer HaMitzvot by the Rambam. Berlin, 1733.

Ownership inscription on the title page ''Belongs to the Gaon Mahar''m Rabin''; rear flyleaf with inscriptions Marcus Rabin, Mandel Horowitz''

As is well known, there is uncertainty when exactly the family name was changed from Rabin to Horowitz, the present inscriptions point to the evidence that Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Linsk (the first) was already named Horowitz at some point in his life.

About this matchmaking, it is said that it was during the gathering of the rabbis as part of the Four Land Council [Vaad Arbah Ha'Ratzot], where the two rabbis met, Rabbi Yitzhak Horovitz Rabbi of Hamburg, and Rabbi Yaakov Rabin Rabbi of Linsk, and they finished the Shidduch there.
