An Unusual Ashkenazi Silver Etrog box, German circa 1890 - Hand-chased scene of Ashkenazi jew holding the 'Arba Minim' (four species wrapped together for the succoth holiday) garbed in a Tallit (prayer shawl) and wearing tefillin.   Ashkenazi Jewry were the only sect of Judaism to wear tefillin on the Succoth holiday on Chol HaMoed (intermittent days). Condition : Excellent condition apparently unmarked, has been tested for silver. Dimensions; 6in L., 4.75in W., 3.75in H.,   16cm L., 12cm W., 10cm H., 14.59ozt weight.
