A present from the Holy Reb Itzikel pre Holocaust in Cheshanov. - Sefer Yechahen Pe'er, By Rabbi Chanoch Zvi HaCohen Levine Rabbi of Bendin. Only edition, Warsaw 1936 Signature & stamp: Avraham Lipa Klein, Krakow. He was among the rich of Krakow & a Ger Chassid. In his house on Dietelgasse 67 was a important Ger Shtibel. Stamp of the Ger Shtibel on Dietelgasse 67. Rebbi Moshe Yitzchak Gewirtzman (1882-1977), known as ‘Reb Itzikel’ of Przeworsk, son of Rebbi Naftali Elimelech, a descendant of the Noam Elimelech of Lizhensk. Disciple of the chassidic rebbes of Sieniawa and Cieszanow . Lived in Przeworsk, and after WWII in Paris and Antwerp, where he became greatly revered for his saintliness and his charitable acts and miracles. Rabbi Chanoch Zvi HaCohen Levine (1871-1935), Rabbi of Bendin, son in law of the Sfat Emet and a prominent rabbi in Poland. He was the father of Rabbi Yitzchak Meir HaCohen Levine, (who was the son in law of his uncle author of Imrei Emet, a leader of Agudat Yisrael in Poland and in Eretz Yisrael).  Good-Fair condition, water damage to first 6 pages, title page partly detached, repairs & losses, original binding.
