Long dedication in the hand of & signed by Rabbi Chaim Sofer of Munkatch the holy 'Machne Chaim' - Shut Machne Chaim part 2. Lacking title page. Long six line dedication with warm wishes in the holy hand & signature of the author to R' Yechezkel Klein. Dated |Munkatch 1873 (he served there in the years 1868-1879). The Holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Sofer the 'Machaneh Chaim' [1822-1886] author of the 'Machaneh Chaim' Seforim. One of the greatest Poskim of Hungary. Succeeded his Rav, Maran the Chasam Sofer in fighting Milchemes Hashem Bagiborim by isolating from the Neological communities. He also studied with Maran the Kesav Sofer, the Maharam Esh, the Holy Gaon Rabbi Binyomin Wolf Loew author of 'Sha'arei Torah' and with Rabbi Hillel of Kolomea. Served as the Rav of several important communities and was appointed the Rav of the community of Munkatch , one of the largest and most important communities in Hungary of those days. In 1879, he became the Rav of the orthodox community of Budapest and was the first to hold the position after the separation of the communities of Hungary.
