Harav Hakadosh Rebbe Shlomo Hakohen of Radomsk (1803-1866), popularly known as the Tiferes Shlomo after his magnum opus, was one of the great Chassidic sages of Poland. His Holy Court attracted chassidim by the thousands and catapulted the town of Radomsk into one of the major Jewish metropolises of the time. His sefer Tiferes Shlomo, one of the fundamental works of Chassidus, expounds upon the attributes and value of the Chassidic way of life and its potential to “Draw in every member of Yisrael.” He was renowned as a master of salvation who blessed many with wealth and prosperity to the extent that the Divrei Chaim of Sanz expressed, “The key to parnassah is in his hand to draw bounty and goodness to Bnei Yisrael” (Ohel Shlomo p. 58) His son the Holy Rabbi Tzvi Meir HaKohen Rabinowitz (1840-1902), second son of the Tiferet Shlomo of Radomsk and his successor as rabbi of Radomsk at the request of his Holy father. A diligent Torah scholar, he was very well versed both in revealed and hidden realms of the Torah. His father once remarked about him in his youth: ”My son Hirshele is a bookcase”. He studied the writings of the Arizal every day before sunrise, with exceptional enthusiasm. Reputedly, ”his associates saw wondrous incidents related to him, which cannot all be recorded, and he was a true fulfilment of the saying 'A Tzaddik decrees and G-d fulfills'… and we saw a wondrous occurrence at the time of his passing… the sun darkened and a storm raged, uprooting many trees” (Ohel Shlomo).
