ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF LADY - Ca. AD 200 - 250A Severan period marble head of a lady, likely from the Severan dynasty. The head comes from a statue that most likely stood in a temple or private, domestic alter. Her youthful face exhibits chubby cheeks and a furrowed brow beneath a coiffure of tight curls closing behind the head in a large flower-shaped chignon.
