EGYPTIAN STONE HEAD OF PRIEST - Ca. 1550 - 1070 BC.An amazing Egyptian stone head of a priestly figure with rounded features and a shaved head. The face consists of relief carved features, including almond shaped eyes, a small nose, and pursed lips. The ears, neck, and face are well defined with a polished surface. Sculptures of priests were crafted as votive offerings intended to be placed at temples or other places of worship. These figures symbolised the ongoing worship of the deity. For similar see: B.M.
