ROMAN BRICK WITH IMPRINT - Ca. AD 100 - 300 A Roman terracotta fragment of brick, polygonal in form, with a rectangular inscribed stamp, probably a symbol of a legion. This brick was made with clay; after the first step of depuration, the producers added small pieces of stone and old bricks to give the mixture a good consistency before baking the brick in the kiln. Unfortunately, the cooking operation was not perfect, and the temperature didn't reach their goal. The brick remained pale and did not become deep red as they wanted.
