AMERICAN MASONIC KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD - Ca. late 19th century AD A Masonic presentation sword made by the Horstmann’s of Philidelphia, later and more commonly known as Horstmann and Sons. The blade is heavily etched with masonic imagery, including knights, crosses, and decorative scrollwork. The recipient's name is also etched on the blade, one Irvin S. Smith. The pommel is in the shape of a knight’s helmet and the bone handle is carved with crosses and laurels. The metal scabbard is heavily decorated with glass-inlaid crosses and embossed metal.
