WESTERN ASIATIC NECKLACE WITH RIBBED MELON BEADS - Ca. 2200 - 1800 BC A stunning necklace made from carnelian, quartz and crystal rock worked into melon-shaped beads. In ancient cultures, carnelian was closely linked to notions of life and immortality. It was frequently utilised to make jewellery, amulets, and talismans due to the belief in its protective properties and its ability to instil courage and physical strength.
