AFTER TYEB MEHTA INDIAN ACRYLIC PAINTING
Acrylic on canvas painting. After Tyeb Mehta, 1925 to 2009, an Indian artist and film maker, member of the Bombay Progressive Artists Group. Common themes of his works were trussed bulls and the rickshaw puller. This lot represents a woman and a bull in the painters signature color-block style with pronounced contour. Signed and dated 1987 on the backside. The piece comes with a certificate. Contemporary Oriental Modernist Fine Art, South Asian Artists.
