A SOVIET COSMOS PROPAGANDA POSTER. 1961
An original Soviet poster "Tovarischy! Sovetskaya zemlya otnyne stala beregom Vselennoy!" [“Comrades! The Soviet land henceforth became the shore of the Universe!”] Artist Vadim Volikov (1927–1989). Circulation: 120,000 copies. Published by IZOGIZ, Moscow, 1961. The poster depicts a young man holding a card with the inscription: "COSMOS back and forth USSR." In the background, the poster is divided into two parts: on the left is a view of outer space, on the right is a view of the Kremlin. Both planes are crossed by a flying rocket.
