The first bowl is made from beautiful emerald green porcelain with an overall craquelure texture with impressive carved jade cover. The second bowl is shaped like a hexagon, with an orange dragon inside surrounded by floral design in the Chinese Famille rose color scheme inside and out. Ca. Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. Size: d: 2 in. Provenance: Collection of Edward Hyers Clayton (1886-1946). American writer and missioner. E.H. Clayton and his wife were missionaries of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society in charge of Wayland Academy, a missionary school in Hangzhou, China from 1912 to 1942. E.H.
