MILLS BRASS BUCKLE MADE FOR REMINGTON FIREARMS - An Anson Mills woven cartridge belt buckle, produced for Remington, is constructed from cast brass and features the distinctive Remington script logo within an elliptical border on the face. The reverse side includes the integrated hinge and catch mechanism. Stamped patent dates on the reverse include November 22, 1881. Such buckles were typically paired with canvas webbing designed to hold ammunition for rifles and shotguns during the frontier and Spanish American War eras.
