ROLL 50 SILVER MERCURY DIMES CA 1920S TO 1940S. - A roll of 50 Mercury Dimes with the classic Winged Liberty Head design by Adolph A. Weinman, originally struck by the U.S. Mint from 1916 to 1945 in 90 percent silver. Circa 1920s to 1940s. The obverse features Liberty wearing a winged cap. The reverse features a bundle of fasces with an olive branch. The fasces is an ancient Roman symbol of power, consisting of a bundle of rods with an axe stuck into it, which was used as an instrument of corporal punishment and execution.
