Titled lower right. The painting portrays a mendicant in traditional attire. He wears a white turban and a simple white tunic, carrying a staff in his right hand and a wooden begging bowl in his left. His long, grey beard and serene expression are characteristic of a man who has renounced worldly comforts for a life of spiritual contemplation. It was created by a Brahmin artist.
