1841 US LAND GRANT DOC SIGNED BY PRESIDENT JOHN TYLER - A United States Land patent document, issued June 17, 1841, and signed in the name of the 10th President of the United States, John Tyler. A Land Patent is the highest form of land title in the United States, signifying the transfer of land from public to private ownership. John Tyler, secretarys signature in the lower right corner. A secretarys signature was common practice for routine land patents of the time. The land was transferred to a man from Washington County, Maryland.
