SIGNED SH RAZA INDIAN CITYSCAPE PAINTING WITH COA - Acrylic on canvas painting, signed Sayed Haider Raza, or S.H. Raza, Indian, 1922 to 2016. The artwork depicts an abstract town view. Signed and dated 1987 in the upper right. The artwork comes with a certificate. Sayed Haider Raza was an Indian painter who lived and worked in France for most of his career. In 1947, he co-founded the revolutionary Bombay Progressive Artists Group along with K.H. Ara and F.N. Souza. Raza sought to turn away from the influences of European Realism, which dominated much of the academic art of India, and embrace Antar gyan, a uniquely Indian vision.
