ANTIQUE AMERICAN ETCHING BY GEORGE A BRADSHAW - An antique early 20th century etching by George A. Bradshaw, American, 1880 to 1968. The etching is signed in pencil by the artist: G. A. Bradshaw on the lower right. Matted and framed. The artist was a pupil of John Ward Stimson and studied at the Trenton School of Industrial Arts. Later he served as a long time instructor at that institution. Although a fine painter, most of Bradshaw's artistic endeavors were in the medium of original etching. In this field he excelled both as an illustrative artist and as an etcher of views in Trenton, Newark and other New Jersey locations. George Bradshaw was a full member of the Brooklyn Society of Etchers, the Chicago Society of Etchers and the North Shore Artists Association.
