The shield features a German eagle with outstretched wings clutching a laurel wreath that contains a swastika, with the numbers 19 and 43 on either side of the wreath. Directly below the eagle, KUBAN is inscribed in block capitals. Beneath this inscription, the shield displays a stylized map of the Kuban region, highlighting a defensive line that the troops fought to maintain.
