AFTER JEAN ANTOINE HOUDON BRONZE SCULPTURE OF DIANA
A large antique patinated bronze sculpture, titled Diana Chasseresse or Diana Huntress, featuring a striking representation of the Roman goddess Diana, revered as the goddess of the hunt. Based on the celebrated work by Jean-Antoine Houdon, French, 1741 to 1828, a master of French Neoclassicism, the sculpture captures Diana in graceful motion, embodying strength and elegance. It is signed Hudon and bears a Berlin foundry mark on the base. Dating to the 19th century. Antique French Sculptures And Bronzes For Collectors.
