Yuri Ivanovich Dyshlenko was a Russian artist, one of the key figures of Leningrad unofficial painting. He worked as a designer for performances and as an illustrator. The scenery for the performance The Lark based on the play by Jean Anouilh at the Akimov Comedy Theatre, executed in an almost abstract manner, caused a stir bordering on scandal. He was a member of the Leningrad City Committee of Book, Graphic and Poster Artists.
